No One Killed Jessica

Rating: NA
Runtime: 2 hr. 16 min.
IMDb: 7.2/10

No One Killed Jessica is your typical Bollywood film. You know the plot line and the ending after the first 10 minutes. The main characters face struggles but overcome them, and the movie overflows with inspiring and overly dramatic music in every scene. But despite all this, it’s not too bad to watch.

If you like to sit back and watch the good guys become victorious, if you can ignore the ridiculousness of some of the actors’ facial expressions and behaviors, if you don’t mind the fact that the English subtitles constantly replace the half Hindi, half English expletives with such innocent words as “rogue” and “witch,” then No One Killed Jessica is a film worth watching that will inspire you to fight for justice and not allow the innocent to go unavenged.

The one appealing aspect of the movie to a history buff is the correlation with India’s elites, bribery, and its justice system, subjects I will be researching in the future. It’s not a bad one to watch as a means of relaxation after a long day, but it won’t be on the top of my recommendation list.
